Santa Fe County March Special Events Range from Culture to Colts

Santa Fe County attractions will be the scene for a varied slate of special events during March.
On Friday March 12 the Museum of International Folk Art will host an opening for its newest exhibition “Arte y Amistad”. The exhibition features Hispanic artwork from the private collection of Sandy Besser and his late wife Diane. The opening will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit will run through January 2005. The museum is located at Museum Hill on Camino Lejo off Old Santa Fe Trail
El Rancho de las Golondrinas in cooperation with the Santuario de Guadalupe presents their next installment in the New Perspectives on Old Traditions series – “Spain's Role in Securing American Independence”. The presentation will take place at the Santuario de Guadalupe (corner of Guadalupe Street and Agua Fria) beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 25.
The Santa Fe Horse Park presents a Colt & Horsemanship Clinic featuring Buck Brannaman on Thursday March 25 through Sunday March 28. Classes available during this clinic will include Foundation Horsemanship for greenhorses riders or both with groundwork to begin each class; and Horsemanship I which is a snaffle bit class for already started horses with students riding their own horses. Spaces are limited for each class. The Santa Fe Horse Park is located at 100 South Polo Drive off Airport Road.
