Lamy Freight RunYear Round Saturdays, depart 12 noon from the Santa Fe city depot, return 4PM (approx.) Ride a working freight train through high desert scenery on this 4-hour (approx.) round trip from the historic depot in Santa Fe to Lamy, a little village 18 miles southeast of Santa Fe and reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Wild West days! These scenic, historic train rides are available all year round. The train ride to Lamy is about 1 hour each way with a short layover and runs on Saturdays year round, and Fridays beginning in April. There is a cash bar onboard most train rides selling alcohol, beverages, and snacks (cash only on board, small bills please).
